Brandon Malone has joined the panel of Arbitrators of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), the main arbitration body in China.
Eilidh Wiseman, President of the Law Society of Scotland said.
“Brandon’s acceptance onto the panel of arbitrators for the main arbitration body in China is very well deserved, and reflects his considerable experience and expertise in the field of arbitration. As one of only around 50 UK lawyers on the CIETAC list of arbitrators, the appointment is recognition of the high professional esteem in which he is rightly held.
“The Society has been involved in efforts to build on the strong commercial and other connections that exist between Scotland and China, and to identify investment, growth and new market opportunities for the legal profession. I am confident that the appointment of Brandon – a member of both our governing Council and Board – to the CIETAC panel will further strengthen those links.”
